Designing the next generation of biologics against pancreatic cancer

Integrating computational protein design, structural biology, functional genomics and translational oncology.

Funded by Deutsche Krebshilfe as part of the German Pancreatic Cancer Alliance.

Our Approach

We combine AI-supported protein design, structural biology, functional genomics and translational oncology to develop a new generation of precision therapeutics against pancreatic cancer. Starting from clinically relevant targets, we design large libraries of small protein binders and use experimental screening to identify the most promising candidates. Patient-derived organoids and innovative 3D models then allow us to validate and optimize these molecules in disease-relevant systems. Team

The PrepAIred consortium brings together expertise in computational protein design, structural biology, oncology, functional genetics, surgery, and translational medicine. Interdisciplinarity is a key asset of the consortium, enabling close collaboration between computational scientists, basic researchers, and clinicians. By integrating AI-driven protein engineering with deep clinical and biological insight, we aim to accelerate the development and translation of next-generation biologics against pancreatic cancer from computational design to patient-relevant applications.
